I’ve recently returned from a lovely two week break in Cyprus. During our stay we went to visit the ancient Roman mosaics in Paphos, a truly amazing spectacle. These were created in the 2nd century using small cubes of marble and stone, and feature scenes from Greek Mythology. The range of colours used is stunning, and I was amazed at how contemporary some of the pattern work seemed.
