A few weeks ago the Heavy Pencil crew invaded the Pick Me Up exhibition at Somerset House. The day began with live mural painting from the fantastic Mike Perry and Josh Cochran who flew over from New York especially for the event. This was followed by an evening of live music from the Dead Pirates and my band Owen & The Eyeballs dressed in costumes made by the talented Anna Lomax, Jess Bonham and Chrissie Macdonald. We also had DJs Disco Bits and Miles Donovan laying down the tunes, and live drawing from the likes of Luke Best, Sister Arrow and Nina Fuga. A big thanks to everyone involved, it was a truly brilliant night!

Had an awesome evening at the Secret 7 opening last night! The Heavy Pencil crew, featuring the likes of Andrew Rae, Pete Fowler, Ciara Phelan, Ben Newman, Nick White, Miles Donovan, Tom Newell and myself spent the night live drawing and DJing. A big thanks to everyone who came down to support! The sleeves will be available to purchase on the 20th so make sure to get down there sharpish!

I was commissioned by The Guardian to create a pair of ‘Guardian Goggles’ for their April fools parody of the new Google Glasses. The video which featured on the Guardian homepage introduced the glasses as their new “augmented reality spectacles”, which provide “a direct connection to a Guardian universe” complete with “a constant stream of specially curated liberal and Left wing opinion”. The end of the video then features my special edition frames worn by Education Secretary Michael Gove who states, “I’d be naked without my Guardian goggles.”
